DayLeft is a countdown app that helps you track important dates. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your countdown data never leaves your device.

This policy explains what information is collected, why, and how it is used.

What We Collect

Countdown Data Event titles, dates, categories, and optional notes you create. Stored locally on your device only — never uploaded to any server.

App Preferences Theme mode, accent color, and onboarding status. Stored locally on your device.

Crash Reports If the app crashes, error details (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) are sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No personal information is included.

Purchase Information If you buy DayLeft Premium, RevenueCat processes and verifies your purchase with Google Play or the App Store depending on your platform. We receive your subscription status (active/inactive) only.

Ad Data (Free Users Only) Google AdMob shows ads to free users and may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID), device type, OS version, and general location (country/region) for ad personalization.

Permissions We Request

Notifications To send you countdown reminders (30 days, 7 days, 1 day before, and on the day). You can disable this in system settings at any time.

🌐

Internet Required for crash reporting, ads, and in-app purchases. Your countdown data is never transmitted.

Data Retention & Deletion

Countdown data: Stays on your device. Delete countdowns anytime from within the app.
Crash logs: Automatically deleted by Firebase after 90 days.
Purchase records: Retained by RevenueCat and your app store as required by financial regulations.
Ad data: Managed by Google per their data retention policies.

To delete all app data, simply uninstall DayLeft from your device.

Children's Privacy

DayLeft does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation and collects no personally identifiable information directly.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the EU or California, you have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of ad personalization (via iOS Privacy settings → Tracking)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
